We are proudly Australian and the Australian sense of humour, optimism and sunshine is at the core of who we are. As we have grown and evolved, a Spanish name and a word that translates to ‘pretty’ just didn’t speak to our strong brand pillars of joy, colour and splendour anymore. So as a mark from where we have been, to where are now, we evolve from Bonita to Love,Bonfire. 

Behind the brand sits Stephanie Cunningham. A proud mother of four and someone who delights in finding the ridiculous, celebrating individualism and creating joy.

Stephanie grew up surrounded by the nuts and bolts of running a fashion business. As a child, her mother had a label which saw her spending every afternoon post school on the shop floor, instilling in her the twinkle of both a business and creative eye. She is part of a family where the entrepreneurial spirit is strong; at age 11 her family moved from Australia over to Nashville, Tennessee to start a healthcare business. It was at this impressionable age that she was indoctrinated into the world of rhinestones, tassels and cowboy boots, only further cementing her love for flamboyance and glamour. After completing her university studies, she spent her twenties in London working in creative agencies where her design sense was set on fire by the overwhelm of history, architecture and street fashion at every corner. It is these cross-cultural experiences, underpinned by a strong connection to her Australian home that inspires the Love, Bonfire aesthetic.

Stephanie’s Love, Bonfire muses include the beautiful and resilient women in her family (especially her mother, sister, daughters and nieces), her friends with their endless hearts and always a bit of Dolly, Elvis and Elton. In Stephanie’s eyes, the Love, Bonfire woman has a glow and a spark. She’s strong, mighty and you cannot extinguish her light. She is very proud to lead a brand with a talented female team behind it and is energised and excited to continue the growth and evolution of Love, Bonfire The Label.
